The Council of the European Union adopted eight decisions on Oct. 26, 2026, mobilizing 4.9 billion euros for Ukraine under the European Peace Facility, the Council said.

The decisions allow for the partial reimbursement of military aid already delivered by member states, totaling 4.7 billion euros, and provide 230 million euros in additional financing for the EU Military Assistance Mission in Support of Ukraine, known as EUMAM Ukraine, according to the Council.

The Council said the decisions mark “a major step” toward implementing a political agreement among member states to mobilize 6.6 billion euros for Ukraine under the facility. That agreement included 1 billion euros in new military aid and further reinforcement of EUMAM Ukraine in 2027, it said.

The decisions bring overall EU support to Ukraine under the facility to 10.8 billion euros, including 9.9 billion euros for reimbursing military aid delivered by member states and 950 million euros for military training by EUMAM, the Council said. It said the decisions confirm the EU’s “continued firm and unwavering support for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity” within its internationally recognized borders in the face of Russia’s war of aggression.
